The Perfect Sconces For Your Cozy Powder Room
If you’ve ever started looking at lighting fixtures, then you know as well as I do that that is a worm hole. The options are limitless and the price points are there to fit just about every budget. So where do you begin?
We’ll for me, when I was designing my power room I was going for a classic, equestrian chic room that was timeless, but not outdated. Because I chose toile wallpaper, I wanted to make sure I didn’t skew towards “grandmother chic”. While elegant and sophisticate, it has its time and lace and in my powder room was not the place. I had just gotten done removing, the powder room chic, so I wanted to be extra cognizant that while this room felt traditional and cozy, it also had it updated modern flare.
The Search for the perfect sconce begins…
After scouring the web for many days, I finally found a sconce that I thought was going to be perfect. They were a glass and leather sconce with a brass bass and clear glass shade. They were perfect! However, I wasn’t thinking when we purchased them and we ran into a problem when we realized the way we roughed in the electric, that the way this sconce hung down, it now was too low; we need a upwards vertical sconce. Back to the drawing board.
